iFit Decides to End Live Studio Classes to Settle Peloton Lawsuits
iFit & Peloton Amicably resolve their lawsuits
After May 27 iFit will no longer offer live studio classes but instead strengthens its live events schedule. The response from iFit indicated the move was necessary to resolve lawsuits with Peloton. The two companies agreed to end all lawsuits with a negotiated settlement, amicable to both parties.
Peloton and iFIT — the maker of NordicTrack — have settled their legal disputes against one another over alleged patent infringement. The settlement of all pending litigation marks the end of a competitive legal history between both connected-fitness parties.
In a joint statement, the companies said Peloton agreed to license some iFit patents concerning remote trainer-control and incline/decline technology, while iFit will remove some on-demand leaderboard technology from its products.
The good news for iFit members is that iFit Studio workouts aren’t going anywhere with new one in production, they will still be available on-demand where iFit members can work out to favorite trainers on their own schedule at home.
iFit Strengthens its Live Events
iFit confirms its commitment to Live events and will continue with more live events to be added to the schedule including LIVE BIKE races, as a new option for iFit cycling fans.

iFit Live Races are Engaging
iFit's live races are great! You can enjoy the event and absolutely go at your own pace. A live event ends after the trainer finishes the race. You receive your digital reward to add to the new digital Trophy Case for completing the time of the race. It's okay if you don't go the same speed or distance as the trainer, you just go at your own pace for the duration of the event.
Past Live Events have included the recent Boston and NYC Marathon, a variety of 5K races, The Chicago Shamrock Shuffle, even a a nod to Cupid on Valentine’s Day, with the live broadcast of Cupid’s Undie Run and many more. You will find past events in the iFit on-demand library.
If you run faster than the trainer, you will have to cover more distance if you want to continue participating in the Live Event. If you stop once you complete the actual event-distance then you are still rewarded, but you won’t be part of the excitement crossing the finish line with the trainer. 😊
Live Bike events are coming soon and will have digital rewards to earn.
