The Artist’s Take on Balancing Elements
"We Need to Row this back"
The main creative idea, exclusively for Hydrow, is centered around the four elements, with water as our natural hero.
WATER: represents emotional release, intuition, and inner reflection.
AIR: represents intellect, mental intention, and connection to the universal life force.
EARTH: represents grounding, the foundation of life, substance, connection to the life path, and family roots.
FIRE: represents energy, transformation, connection to personal power, and inner strength.
EARTH AIR FIRE WATER: represent balance and living as one, together in harmony.
Celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee with Hydrow
Alex has crafted a third unique design for Hydrow that celebrates the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, with a special version of the Union Jack. We love the pearls, stars, flag, and fireworks — So perfect for the occasion. This is a one-of-a-kind art piece for your home – inspiring every workout on the Hydrow. Sadly, the items are not available in the USA.
2022 is the year Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms, and the Commonwealth.
There will be four days of celebrations and will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service. Visit the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport's interactive map to find out more about events taking place across the UK.
Hydrow Rowing is good for you
Rowing is low impact, so it is easy on the joints. It’s also a full-body workout, so even just a few minutes a day can have a positive effect on multiple muscle areas. Rowing works 86% of major muscle groups — almost double running or cycling.
In the USA, Hydrow trainers row on the Charles River in Boston and Miami. The trainers have traveled from the Thames to the Hudson to bring workouts from waterways across the globe.
Hydrow Series D funding
In the first quarter of 2022, Hydrow raised $55 million in Series D funding bringing its total funding to $255 million. The investment is to continue to grow Hydrow’s members, branding, and product enhancements. Overall penetration in the connected fitness area remains under 10% of the total addressable market. Hydrow CEO Bruce Smith says he believes fitness will continue in a hybrid fashion with people going to the gym and working out at home. Hydrow wants to expand into the commercial gym space for office buildings and apartment buildings. Smith anticipates Peloton will join the rowing space and will attract some demand away from Hydrow. Hydrow currently has 200,000 subscribers for its $44 per month content which is available in a digital-only version for $19.99 per month.
Hydrow Competition
Hydrow is not the only cool indoor rower available. Other rowers include Nordictrack, Ergatta, CityRow and Concept2 even Peloton is has launched its own rowing machine.
