Nordictrack Commercial 1250 Treadmill Review (2024 Model)
Overall Score 9.8
Commercial 1250 Treadmill Overview
Our Take
Our take with the NordicTrack Commercial 1250 is a durable, reliable, hardworking treadmill with many options you will find on more expensive brands. Features like the ability of the running deck to incline and decline in a downward negative elevation. The ability to fold up the running deck or completely swivel and pivot its HD touchscreen, and the ability to keep you cool with dual fans designed right into the console.
Priced under $2,000 the Commercial 1250 treadmill is made for walkers, joggers, and beginner hikers. One of the unique features of the Commercial 1250 is its negative -3% downward decline which is excellent for your quads and hamstrings. A decline elevation option is usually found on much more expensive treadmills.
The powerful 3.0 CHP self-cooling motor supports speeds up to 12 and is powerfully sized it will last supporting multiple user’s daily use.
The $1,999 price tag is competitive for the advanced features and value the Commercial 1250 offers. Nordictrack provides interest-free financing for 39 payments of $52 per month. You will be motivated and keep engaged with your iFit membership as personal trainers’ workout with you around the world on challenging to recovery runs, walks and hikes. We recommend this treadmill —you will not regret it!

One month of iFit membership included ($39 value) includes:
- SmartAdjust machine learning technology applied to workouts and
- Progressive Challenge Series designed and structured by experts to help you hit goals.
Folding Treadmill Design
This is also a Folding Treadmill designed to save floorspace where the running deck can easily be folded-up or down. If nothing else, handy to enable easier cleaning under the treadmill. We liked how easily and smoothly this feature worked.
WHAT WE LOVE
The Commercial 1250 console includes a 10-inch HD resolution touchscreen that completely rotates and tilts to provide comfortable viewing for off-the-treadmill workouts. Besides streaming iFit Pro trainer-led runs, walks, and hikes, there are a ton of cross-training workouts, from boxing and yoga to stretch and strength. The console also features premium audio with a front-facing soundbar and supports most Bluetooth headphones and heart rate monitors, perfect for trainer-led iFit workouts.
Overall, what stands out compared with other treadmill brands is the level of integration with iFit Pro workouts, to help you get more out of your runs, walks or hikes. We also loved the iFit training content format, its training approach, tempo, and style. iFit Trainers make you work harder than you might on your own, but they are not in your face, constantly shouting, but are more supportive, informative, and instructive.
AutoAdjust for example is one of the many options where an iFit trainer can in real-time adjust your speed and incline to match a workout session – of course, you can always override to a more comfortable or difficult level. What we liked about iFit AutoAdjust is it pushes you to train harder and allows you to focus on your workout to hit your goals without distractions.

MYN Pro Review Notes:
WHY WE LIKE THIS TREADMILL
■ The New Commercial 1250 is recommended for people looking for a more budget friendly but still dependable treadmill. The 1250 treadmill design has a slim, contemporary look, with a cushioned deck, reducing impact on your knees, hip and ankle joints, that you will be happy using.
■ Whether you are on this treadmill running, walking, or hiking, the close integration with iFit is a game changer. First, the iFit AutoAdvance feature enables trainers to live-control your running deck's speed, incline, and declines, all in real time, matching the terrain you are walking, running, or hiking through, which is pretty awesome to experience. A cool feature we discovered is that also works in a similar way when running a customized route, you can design together with iFit and Google Maps, or even when taking a trainer-led studio class workout.
[MYN PRO TIP] Use the Pause Button as you need to. The PAUSE BUTTON on the 1250 treadmill is one of the many useful iFit features – Practical if you need to attend to something immediately, you can pause a workout for up to 10 minutes or if you just need to catch your breath for 20 seconds, then continue where you left off.
■ SmartAdjust is another iFit option that can in real-time use your past workout metrics to make adjustments based on your progress and help to prevent you from plateauing. SmartAdjust designs progressive workouts personalized for you.
■ The motor is quiet and powerful enough to – easily support multiple daily users. The running deck size is roomy, while the HD 10-touchscreen is clear. There are two built-in fans to cool you down, which surprisingly come in handy with intense workouts or if your treadmill is in a space with poor air circulation.

Each member of our review team agreed that the integration of AutoAdjust and SmartAdjust with iFit running, walking, and hiking workout content are a standout feature of Nordictrack Commercial treadmills, putting the iFit workout experience on another level.
THE CONS
■ While the touchscreen is easy to use and view workouts on, we prefer a wider screen like the Commercial Series 1750 and 2450 treadmill models. Sometimes it does tend to wobble slightly when running at higher speeds. This did not bother us when running at speeds over 7.5 mph, but we thought it should be mentioned.
■ If you opt for self-assembly, the Commercial 1250 treadmill can be time-consuming to set up – takes about 60 minutes after unpacking and two people are required for moving and assembly. It is heavy! In the box, the NordicTrack Commercial 1250 weighs-in at 281 lbs. in the box.
If you are not a DYI type, we recommend adding the assembly service for around $199. It is worth it.

COMMERCIAL 1250 HIGHLIGHTS
1. CONSOLE
You will enjoy iFit workouts on this touchscreen. Its 10-inch HD display is bright and vividly clear with a good HD resolution that quickly displays graphics and imagery. The controls for speed, incline, and decline are well laid out on-screen with easy-to-read metrics and a summary display bar at the top to keep you aware of calories burned, distance, deck elevation, and even your Heartrate. Toggling through several display options, you can select those metrics most important to you.
A useful highlight is an ability to adjust the viewing angle of the touchscreen. The Commercial 1250 treadmill’s console completely rotates and tilts/pivots 60° to give you the best viewing angle for height adaptability and off-the-treadmill wellness workouts, like meditation and yoga or more energetic iFit cross-training sessions like boxing and strength-training.
Located on each side of the console screen are large Quick-Touch buttons, easily accessible to adjust incline (on the left side) and speed (on the right side) in whole number increments. There is a +/- button on the center of the control console for finer-tune incremental adjustments by .1 mph, and elevation by .5%.
We found these quick-touch adjustment buttons prove to be very useful during (HIIT) interval training, either when following your own custom-designed workout or when making an instance adjustment during an iFit session.
There are two built-in cooling fans with an option known as AutoBreeze, designed to keep the runner, walker or hiker comfortable by automatically increasing the cooling power of the fans as your workout intensity increases or you can run fans at a selected speed. If you plan to locate your treadmill in a space with poor or less than optimal air circulation, like a basement or garage, this can be a useful feature based on the feedback we received.
Last, the console is Bluetooth enabled, allowing you to use your favorite wireless Apple AirPods or headphones. If you prefer to go loud then there are two 30-Watt, front-facing speakers designed into the console that delivers decent directional sound. You can even use an Apple Watch to display heartrate metrics on-screen with the iPhone Echo App. for free 20 minutes sessions or a one-time fee of $14.
There are two water bottle holders and a small accessories tray for a phone or headphone charger.
2. 1250 Motor
The Commercial 1250 has a durable commercial motor sized at 3.0 CHP, with self-cooling features and Smart-Response designed to reduce vibration and is large enough to handle multiple users on a daily basis.
As a guide and rule of thumb, when it comes to a treadmill motor, a more powerful treadmill motor is preferable and impacts durability and performance. To learn more, refer to our NordicTrack Treadmill Buying Guide for specific details on the motor and other key treadmill features to look out for.
The motor is one of the more critical aspects when considering the right treadmill, and this is one area where NordicTrack excels. They know how to a build treadmill motor that will last and sized correctly for its use.
Higher-quality motors also help support iFit connected-Fitness features like AutoAdjust and SmartAdjust. Your iFit trainer can constantly change in real-time, your treadmills speed and running deck incline to match the studio class or the terrain uphill inclines or downward elevation you happen to be running, walking, or hiking on.
4. RUNNING DECK
The Latest 1250 treadmill model has its running deck measured 20” wide x 60 inches long. The shock-absorbing characteristics of the deck offer cushioning for an overall good user experience and protect your knees and ankle joints.
The Commercial 1250 is a foldable Treadmill which means the running deck is designed to be lifted up to save floor space, a nice feature where space is tight in an apartment or smaller home gym.
[MYN Pro TIP] Besides the space savings, this makes it easier to move the treadmill short distances or clean under the treadmill deck. Easy to lift up and lock in place, then with a soft tap of the foot on the support bar the running deck gently descends to the floor by itself, using NordicTrack‘s EasyAssist feature.
The Commercial 1250 treadmill supports users’ weight up to 300 pounds.

We recommend purchasing the white-glove setup service. Plan where you want to place this machine and have your treadmill mat laid out and ready. You can have the 1250 treadmill set up in the room of your choice for $199 and assembly included. We recommended this option to ease delivery and setup as treadmills tend to be heavy, over 282 lbs. for this Commercial 1250 model with the shipping box size at approx. 7ft x 3ft x 2ft. For some instances, it may be easier to bring in the pieces separately, stair size depending.
